PROMOTIONAL MERCHANDISE CATALOG (Mcat)
WMA's annual promotional School & Office Merchandise Catalog (Mcat) hits the street about mid-February. One of our primary marketing objectives is to have Mcat distributed before the start of the annual Campus Market Exposition (CAMEX) since the campus marketplace accounts for over 50% of our marketplace focus. CAMEX is sponsored by the National Association of College Stores (NACS).

Manufacturers, do you have a new product? Let WMA help you bring it to market. With five shipping centers strategically located across the country, we deliver to most retailers in just one or two days. Let us help get your companies' product into the marketplace faster and better than anyone else.

QUICK BACKGROUND

We produce two marketing "promotional" catalogs annually to introduce new products and to enhance on-going product visibility in the marketplace. To review details about Ycat (hits the street about the end of August), please check out our Catalog menu option for Ycat.
•    A significant focus of our School & Office Merchandise Catalog (Mcat) is on Back-To-School promotions. Special promotional pricing is offered through the regular collegiate BTS season. It’s also important to note that retailers use Mcat as a critical reference source for a full year.
•    Mcat is a professional four-color piece that features displays of peggable and bulk products, but includes a wide range of open stock Sku’s as well. It’s also important to point out that displays are not normally shown in the annual full-line “Illustrated Product Catalogs (Ecats)” distributed by WMA Members (WMA Owners).
•    WMA Members will individually, or as a “group”, select the Sku’s they want in their particular version of Mcat (expect a maximum of three (3) catalog versions).

Promotional Participation
Once the Members have made their Sku selections, WMA-HQ will then approach each Manufacturer with an estimate of catalog space, and seek their approval/certification of the selected Sku’s. Catalog Proposals, as we knew them, have been eliminated.

Manufacturers can participate in markets that make sense for them as all “current” Manufacturers are now eligible for inclusion in any given Mcat, even if they are conducting business with only one WMA member.

Manufacturers seeking to participate in WMA promotional catalogs for the first time should request participation packets. WMA will be most happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

Face-to-Face (FTF) Invitation
Manufacturers are always encouraged to hold FTF meetings with Members individually. It is only through full Manufacturer participation that we can jointly and positively impact the marketplace to our mutual benefit.
